Come ride on our 200 acres of wooded trails at White Pines Ranch. We are conveniently located just 90 miles west of Chicago and only 30 miles south of Rockford! Our beautiful trails have rolling hills, creek crossings, open prairies, and shaded woods. Our rides are suitable for beginners but beautiful enough to be interesting for more experienced riders. No advanced riding or trotting; we just enjoy nature and being on the back of a horse! We recommend you wear long pants and closed-toed shoes. Helmets are required for all riders – helmets are provided.

- We are not offering pony rides at this time.
- Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled riding time.
Once you are all signed in and ready to go, our barn crew will give you a brief (20 min.) riding demonstration, help you to mount your horses, adjust your stirrups, and make sure your saddles are tight before the start of each ride. We simply want to make you aware that it takes time for us to get you ready to ride, so you’ll be at the ranch a little longer than the 45 minutes that you are scheduled to ride. Your ride officially begins once everyone is mounted and you and our staff are headed for the trail. Sorry, children under 7 cannot go on trail rides, and we don’t do any double riding.
The cost is $40.00 for a 45-minute trail ride. Since our in-house guests take up most riding times, riding times for the general public are limited. ALL RIDES ARE ONLY BY RESERVATION – PLEASE CALL US OR FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW TO SEE WHAT WE HAVE AVAILABLE!
